I have a confession to make……… I am becoming addicted to vinyl stencils. So far, I have used them to etch Islamic Calligraphy onto hurricane candle holders, and to decorate glass candles for my Thanksgiving centerpiece.
Today, I will show you how I used Vinyl to go from this….
To this…..
After finding an Islamic Calligraphy phrase I liked {this one means: My dependence is solely on God}. I traced it and printed it onto black vinyl , then transferred it onto the glass of the frame.
Next, I used a stencil that I made for another project to give my phrase a patterned background. I used black Acrylic paint onto photo paper.
Ta..Da…
This was so much fun that I decided to experiment with different background designs.
After playing around with the backgrounds and the frames, I was able to come up with 6 different art designs with my 2 frames.
There you have it, a very simple art project for your home…….. with changeable backgrounds. The background itself can also be art on its own! 🙂
Which design do you like the most?

I love the first one “My Dependence is Solely on God. That is beautiful. I’m now learning something about your
machine. Although I had heard of them I never looked into them at all. Now you’ve peaked my interest big time.
Thank you for sharing.
